Crossroads Unseen is the fourth album by Jason Kao Hwang with Jazz Quartet Edge. This quartet, founded in 2005, includes Jason Kao Hwang on violin and viola, Taylor Ho Bynum on cornet and flugelhorn, Andrew Drury on drums, and Ken Filiano on bass.

The whole album has a cinematic feel and each piece goes through different changes in moods and colors. The violin, viola and flugelhorn also gives the album a classical music sound.

Some of the music has experimental kind of free jazz elements, like the dissonances of "Elemental Determination", "One Day" and "The Path Around the House". The harmonies on "The Path Around the House" also creates a suspenseful atmosphere and maintain the attention of the listener with constant tempo changes. The title track "Crossroads Unseen" also has some elements of suspense.
